Riverland Arts & Culture Center in Port St. Lucie hosted a charity film screening and book signing to benefit the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. Taking center stage was Valencia Grove resident Mark Winik, documentary filmmaker and author of the book, The Dog Healers. The book and film showcased the bond between people and dogs.
In addition to the dozens of Riverland residents who came to show their support, Port St. Lucie Mayor Shannon Martin and GL Homes Vice President Azlina Goldstein, who are Humane Society of St. Lucie County board members, attended the fundraiser.
