GL Homes COO Marcie DePlaza shared answers and insights to these questions and more at Adopt-a-Family’s Career Speaker Series. Two dozen Adopt-a-Family residents, all working moms, participated in an interactive and engaging Q&A session with Marcie DePlaza and interviewer GL Homes Vice President of Community Relations Sarah Alsofrom about a wide range of business and professional topics.
From dressing for success to finding a mentor, this after-hours dinner, catered by Feeding South Florida and sponsored by GL Homes, was inspiring and motivating. The GL Homes executives encouraged the audience to give feedback and to ask questions.
GL Homes donated $5,000 to the Lake Worth-based nonprofit to support its mission to strengthen families with children to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
Adopt-a-Family’s mission is to strengthen families with children in their efforts to achieve stability and self-sufficiency by providing access to all-encompassing services. Since 1983, Adopt-A-Family has grown into the largest service provider for homeless families in Palm Beach County – providing access to services for more than 2,000 families with children per year.
