Serving Meals with Compassion and Kindness

Cassandra Williams, Angelica and Tom Gillan

GL Homes volunteers teamed up with The Lord’s Place to serve meals to the homeless. Despite the Meal Mobile being in for maintenance, TLP’s outreach team continued to provide meals and social services to clients. TLP brought its Joshua Catering van to provide chili, fresh fruit and cookies.

During the month of April, The Lord’s Place Meal Mobile served over a thousand meals in Riviera Beach and Belle Glade. The dedicated outreach team at The Lord’s Place enrolled 12 new clients and continued to support another 20 clients already enrolled with their team.

The Lord’s Place is a non-sectarian, social impact 501(c) (3) organization that offers transformative and comprehensive services designed to end homelessness for the most vulnerable and neglected individuals and families in Palm Beach County.

For more than 40 years The Lord’s Place has aimed to provide innovative, compassionate and effective programs to assist clients in finding their unique path home.
