As part of its ongoing effort to teach kids life skills, Urban Youth Impact hosts weekly CREATE cooking classes at its West Palm Beach campus.

CREATE shows kids how to use food and staples they can find in their own kitchens to cook tasty and creative meals.

Urban Youth Impact needed a donor to pay for a year’s worth of cooking classes and supplies, a $3,000 expense.

When GL Homes learned about this worthwhile program, the company donated the needed funds.

A Thanksgiving cornbread stuffing was on the menu when GL Homes Director of Community Relations Sarah Alsofrom and UYI Marketing and Communications Manager Anthony Savine visited the class.

The students used carrots, onions and sausage, to whip up this delicious Thanksgiving dinner recipe.
