Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County (BGCSLC) unveiled a refreshed GL Homes van, celebrating a resource that helps connect local youth to valuable experiences beyond the club’s walls.

Club members from the Ken Pruitt Unit in Port St. Lucie and BGC staff visited Riverland, a GL Homes community, to reveal the vehicle’s updated look. The van continues to serve as a vital tool for transporting children safely to field trips, educational programs, and special events in Port St. Lucie.

Since first hitting the road in 2019, the van has helped members participate in opportunities they may not have otherwise experienced. Those outings expose children to new learning experiences, broaden their perspectives, and help them build skills that support their growth both in and out of the classroom.

GL Homes, whose continued partnership helps ensure that club members have access to unique programs and experiences, was the first company to purchase a van for BGCSLC during its transportation campaign. GL Homes continues to provide funding for annual vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
