During the slower summer months, nonprofits often experience a drop in donations. GL Homes provided Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County with a much-needed furniture donation valued at approximately $15,000. These kitchen appliances, massage chairs, benches, doors and filing cabinets from the GL Homes Valencia Del Sol community will be sold at Habitat’s local ReStores.
Habitat ReStores sell home furnishings, building materials and home improvement items for a fraction of the retail price while diverting reusable, household items from landfills. The proceeds from the sale of these items is invested into the programs serving Habitat clients, all of whom are future homeowners.
Habitat of East and Central Pasco County builds strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
