You don’t need an expensive gym membership or fancy equipment to get physically fit. That was what Legal Aid Society clients learned at the YMCA in Boynton Beach.

These developmentally disabled young adults, who are part of Legal Aid’s Guardian Advocacy Project (GAP), find themselves in the same situation as many people have during this pandemic. They’ve packed on a few unwanted pounds and are now eager to get in shape.

The YMCA trainers taught the GAP clients how to use soup cans and gallons of water as weights to build muscle mass. They learned cardiovascular and strengthening exercises they can do outside or around the house.

GL Homes arranged for and sponsored this workout session with certified YMCA trainers.
