In collaboration with Feeding South Florida in Boynton Beach, a friendly competition among GL Homes colleagues benefited many food-insecure South Florida families.
Over 1,400 nutritious, ready-to-eat meals were made in two hours thanks to the hardworking GL Homes volunteers who competed for bragging rights to see which team could make the most meals.
The annual competition was all in good fun because the real winners were the many children, seniors and families in Palm Beach and Broward Counties who will receive two weeks’ worth of nutritious, tasty dinners.
In support of Feeding South Florida’s mission, GL Homes donated $10,000 to support the nonprofit’s hunger relief efforts.
Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.
