GL Homes COO Marcie DePlaza spoke to a sold-out room at the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce’s The Woman Effect luncheon in Palm Beach Gardens.
Marcie addressed many relevant and timely topics that resonated with the all-female, professional audience. From working in the male-dominated homebuilding industry to mentoring to advice she’d give her 20-year-old self, the tenured executive who is celebrating 32 years working for GL Homes, emphasized hard work, empathy and professionalism. Themes that energized the audience were women supporting other women, self-confidence and work-life balance.
Philanthropy plays a key role in GL Homes’ philosophy so in the spirit of giving, GL Homes donated $1,500 to Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and $1,500 to The Woman Effect’s spotlighted charity, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
