Youth Haven graduate Maritza recently took an exciting step toward independence with a special shopping trip to furnish her new apartment. With support and guidance, she visited St. Matthew’s House Naples Flagship Thrift Store, carefully selecting pieces that transformed her space into something that truly felt like home.
Through its Good Night’s Sleep initiative, GL Homes partnered with Youth Haven and St. Matthew’s House to make this moment possible. What began as an empty apartment quickly became a warm, welcoming home, showing that with the right support, fresh starts can feel both possible and full of hope.
Good Night’s Sleep initiative provides all the furnishings to make a house a home. It’s essential for people transitioning from homelessness to a home of their own to have all the essentials from a mattress to linens, towels, a kitchen table and chairs.
Youth Haven provides home, hope and healing to abused and neglected children and teens in Southwest Florida.
St. Matthew’s House’s mission is to ensure that no one experiencing hunger, homelessness, or addiction is alone or without a pathway from crisis to contributor.
