A distinguished Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie Youth of the Year winner received a hard-hat tour of Riverland in Port St. Lucie.
Mia Morrison, a high school senior who is a double winner at both the county and state Youth of the Year competitions in 2022 and 2023, met with the GL Homes sales, construction and engineering teams.
Mia and her mother, Michelle Foreman Senior, had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the homebuying experience. Mia and her mom rode our tram throughout our Riverland community, and then they took a hard-hat construction tour. Out in the field with our engineering and construction teams, Mia explored land development work such as earth work and infrastructure installation.
Mia learned about the necessary steps to create water and sewer lines plus road and parking lot construction. Mia learned about the essential and intricate building blocks of The Riverland Paseo Park, a soon-to-be developed city park that GL Homes will build for the City of Port St. Lucie.
