GL Homes donated $45K in office furnishings and appliances from its Valencia Del Sol community located in Wimauma.

The donation of tables and chairs, file cabinets, window treatments, lighting fixtures, cabinets, kitchen appliances such as several refrigerators and a large multifunction copier filled two moving trucks.

GL Homes Project Manager Stephanie Patterson encourages more companies to consider donating office furnishings to Habitat ReStore, which accepts donations and sells home improvement items at a fraction of the retail price. “Donating to Habitat ReStores puts money back into the Habitat programs to build more homes and saves materials from ending up in landfills. People can find great deals and feel good that they’re helping our community.”

Habitat of East and Central Pasco County builds strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
