Thanks to St. Matthew’s House and GL Homes, 19-year-old Justice received a $5,000 thrift store shopping trip to completely furnish her new, one-bedroom apartment. The St. Matthew’s House team was all hands on deck to provide a seamless shopping experience for the teen. Through GL Homes’ generosity, Justice selected all the furnishings and décor she needed to make a house a home.
Justice who recently graduated from the Youth Haven program, selected furniture with the help of GL Homes Vice President/Project Manager Dianna Betancourt at the St. Matthew’s House Metro Parkway Thrift Store in Fort Myers.
GL Homes also provided $1,000 to Youth Haven to provide Justice with groceries, towels, linens and toiletries.
Justice plans to continue her education and work part-time. We wish her well as she starts this exciting, new chapter of her life!

It’s essential for people transitioning from homelessness to a home of their own to have all the essentials from a mattress to linens, towels, a kitchen table and chairs.
