Jewish Federation of Broward’s newly renamed Ultimate Nite Out (formerly Men’s Nite Out) hosted a sold-out event with corporate supporters and community leaders.
While there was celebration for the Jewish Federation of Broward’s many accomplishments to serve Broward County and beyond, there was a call to action for the over 700 guests in attendance that evening. The ongoing war in Israel is impacting Jewish communities around the world, including Broward County, with an unprecedented rise in antisemitic incidents. The Federation asked for help through volunteerism, advocacy and the opportunity to make a meaningful gift to ensure a safe and secure Jewish community for generations to come.
The featured speaker was Lior Raz who possesses a deep understanding of the complexities on the ground in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As co-creator and star of the award-winning Netflix series Fauda, Arabic for chaos, he portrays characters on both sides of the dispute with empathy and pathos. Raz lived the conflict on the ground as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces. As part of the IDF Special Forces, Raz became fluent in Arabic and uniquely familiar with the realities of day-to-day life among the people caught in the conflict.
GL Homes is a longtime sponsor of the Federation’s annual dinner.
Jewish Federation of Broward County and its network of beneficiary agencies safeguard educational and social service needs to perpetuate Jewish tradition and heritage, while ensuring the continuity and survival of Israel and Jewish communities around the world.
